Semitruck crash in West Dundee caused Randall Road lane closures

WEST DUNDEE – Southbound lanes on Randall Road, near Route 72, were down to one lane for about six hours Thursday after a semitruck ran into a power line.

Carpentersville Police Deputy Chief Todd Shaver said a semitruck was headed southbound on Randall Road when it was hit by a vehicle that was turning left onto Binnie Road about 1:13 p.m. The incident forced the truck to go off road and hit a power line.

As a result of the crash, Shaver said one person was transported to Sherman Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

ComEd came out to the scene to repair the damage, a Quadcomm dispatcher said.

Carpentersville authorities reported all lanes were open at 7:30 p.m. in a Facebook post.
