At 6 p.m., people can come to the lodge at 22500 Route 173, Harvard, for a fried chicken dinner. After the dinner at 7 p.m. there will be a showing of the 1975 film, "The Great Waldo Pepper."
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door, or reserved by calling 815-943-5925.
Proceeds will go toward the Moose Lodge buying new firers for its kitchen, Harvard Moose Lodge Administrator Sam Finfrock said.
Finfrock said a Nieuport 17 plane also has been set up in the banquet hall by Harvard business Dave Dacy Airshows.
Dacy Airshows has a connection to the movie, too, Finfrock said. The movie includes stunt work by Johnny Kazian, who was a former wing walker for Dave Dacy, he said.
This is the first time the lodge has held an aviation-themed event, Finfrock said, adding that people should come out to "support the lodge and see what we're all about."
