ST. CHARLES – City offices will close for several days in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, according to a St. Charles news release.
The city of St. Charles offices will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, as well as Jan. 1, the release stated.
Regularly scheduled refuse pickup is planned for the weeks of Dec. 21 and 28, according to the release.
The release indicates Christmas trees will be picked up during the weeks of Jan. 4 and 11 on the scheduled refuse day. A sticker will be required after this two-week period, the release stated. Trees should not be placed in disposal bags, and residents must remove all decorations, including tinsel.
Holiday lights and unwanted electronics may be dropped off at the St. Charles electronics recycling container at the public works facility, 1405 S. Seventh Ave., St. Charles, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
