LA GRANGE PARK – The La Grange Park Board of Trustees met at 7:30 p.m. March 24 at Village Hall.
Meeting highlights included:
1. Sergeant Timothy Contois sworn in by board
The village board officially swore in Timothy Contois of the La Grange Park Police Department as its newest Sergeant. Contois joined the police department in 2002. He has served as a detective in the patrol and investigation sections and currently serves as the department’s juvenile coordinator. He was promoted to sergeant by the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners at their meeting Feb. 21. Contois’ family was present for the swearing in by the village board.
2. Jamie Zaura appointed to Village Board
The village board appointed La Grange Park resident Jamie Zaura as a village trustee. Zaura has served the village of La Grange Park since 2011,and had spent 4 years on the zoning board of appeals. She now fills the vacancy left by former trustee Mario Fotino. Zaura is a member of the American Institute of Architects and also co-owns and operates her architectural business, 845 Design Group, at 106 Calendar Court in La Grange.
3. Sewer point repairs approved
The board moved to approve an action for sewer repairs in the amount of $124,470. Suburban General Construction, Inc will handle the sewer repairs, which will be completed by April 30.
