Lombard foundation celebrates health

LOMBARD – The Healthy Lombard Foundation's 2015 Healthy Lombard Fitness February Fair featured informational booths, demonstrations, raffle prizes and more Feb. 28 at Yorktown Shopping Center.

The 2015 Healthy Lombard Health Hero Award winners also were recognized at the event.

The award honors individuals who have made a noticeable effort to improve their personal health and wellness during the past year and worksites that have made positive, healthy changes in their work environments, according to the foundation.

The fitness fair was presented by Adventist Health Partners, Balance Pediatric Weight Specialists and Elmhurst Health Center. The stage was sponsored by Elite X Training, and the Health Hero Awards were underwritten by the Kiwanis Club of Lombard in recognition of Kiwanis International’s 100th anniversary.

Several other groups also supported the fair.
