With regulars Devin Blake and Bowen Marks out of the lineup due to injuries, senior guard Jordon Kedrowski stepped up Friday, scoring 22 points and helping the Trojans notch their fifth straight victory and first West Suburban Silver win of the year. Kedrowski, the Sears Appliance & Hardware Athlete of the Week, spoke with Suburban Life Sports Editor Alex Soulier about the current win streak.

Soulier: How does it feel to get your first conference win of the season on the road?

Kedrowski: It feels like we really have something going. We played great in the Romeoville tournament, then had a great week of practice leading up to the win. The two days off school made things a bit tough, but I think we came out with a strong performance tonight.

Soulier: The team is riding a five-game winning streak. Do you think you are playing with more confidence now compared to the first month of the season?

Kedrowski: It definitely seems like we have a lot of momentum on our side now and the team is buying in to the coaching staff is telling us. It’s nice to see our hard work get rewarded with wins.

Soulier: You knew coming into the game that the team would be without Devin Blake and Bowen Marks. Did you take it upon yourself to step up and lead the offense?

Kedrowski: The team was behind me, telling me to be aggressive with my shot selection and attack the hoop. I didn’t have a great start in the first quarter, but tried to remain confident and got it going later in the game. I thought it was a great team win for us tonight.
