WARRENVILLE – A Warrenville man died Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on Route 59.
James C. Marlowe, 56, was crossing the highway when he was hit at 8:49 p.m. by a Ford Escort traveling southbound north of Continental Drive, according to a news release from the Warrenville Police Department.
Marlowe was transported to Cadence Hospital in Winfield after the crash, the release stated, where he was pronounced dead.
Warrenville Deputy Chief David Schar said the vehicle was driven by an adult female, but wouldn't release any additional information. Schar said he did not anticipate charges being filed against the driver, but that the case is still under investigation.
