BENSENVILLE – Bensenville residents will be able to learn about the village's draft comprehensive plan at a public open house Thursday in the board room at Bensenville Village Hall.
The comprehensive plan focuses on the village's need for multi-jurisdictional collaboration, regulatory changes and infrastructure investments, according to a news release from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, which is helping to develop the plan through its Local Technical Assistance program.
The plan combines recommendations from previous and ongoing studies into one centralized document, the release stated.
Recommendations include focusing redevelopment investment in the downtown area and performing stormwater management improvements to help industrial businesses and residents thrive, according to the release.
The plan also emphasizes the need to revise zoning in Bensenville to attract development, improve aesthetics and remove hardship on certain businesses, the release stated.
