Elmhurst teen builds bookcases for Eagle Scout project

ELMHURST – Dan Odom, 16, of Elmhurst recently built 11 custom bookcases for a local school for his Eagle Scout project.

With the help of some friends, the York High School student constructed the bookcases for Immanuel Lutheran School, 142 E. Third St. The finished bookcases were delivered Saturday.

In addition to the labor, Odom also arranged for donations from several local businesses including McIlwee Millwork, Viking Awards, J.C. Licht, Jewel Foods, Ace Hardware and Home Depot to help complete the project.
