A Carol Stream woman accused of stealing nearly $11,000 from the Wheaton North High School Booster Club missed her third court date Wednesday morning.

Officers and investigators went to the home of Dorothy Horky, 59, for a well-being check and found her there, said Paul Darrah, communications manager for the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office. Horky was transported to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield for psychological and physical examinations.

“We asked there be a no-bond warrant issued, meaning when she gets released from the hospital, she’ll be held in custody,” Darrah said. “She won’t be able to be released on bond.”

The motion was granted, and Horky’s next court date is Sept. 29, he said.

In March 2013, Horky was charged with one count of theft over $10,000 after serving as president of the Wheaton North Booster Club from May 2006 through May 2011. She missed her second court appearance for the charge in July.
