Joliet police arrest wounded man

JOLIET – A man with a bullet wound was arrested.

Police said they were called to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, where a man was being treated for a bullet wound in the hand Friday afternoon.

Eventually, Armando Ornelas Garcia, 19, of Joliet was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and on a no-bond warrant for burglary, police said.

According to police, Garcia said he had found a handgun in an alley in the area of Jackson and Henderson avenues. The gun went off while Garcia was handling it, according to the account related by police.
