Lemont avoids area's flooding problems

LEMONT – Lemont did not have any flooding problems resulting from last night's rainfall, according to Lemont Emergency Management Agency director Tom Ballard.

According to data from the U.S. Geological Survey, Lemont has received 1.04 inches of rain in the last 12 hours.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight, which could produce heavy rain.
