Warrenville police schedule roadside safety checkpoint

WARRENVILLE – The Warrenville Police Department will conduct a roadside safety checkpoint from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Aug. 30 on Illinois Route 59.

Police departments from West Chicago and Winfield, along with the Illinois State Police and Warrenville Emergency Services and Disaster Agency, also will participate in the checkpoint.

The safety checkpoint is designed to look for traffic violations, such as impaired drivers, drivers with suspended or no valid driver's licenses, faulty vehicle equipment and seat belt violations.
