Riverside village manager resigns to take job in Bloomingdale

RIVERSIDE – Village Manager Peter Scalera announced Tuesday that he would be leaving the village of Riverside for a new opportunity in Bloomindale, according to a news release.

Scalera has served as village manager of Riverside since 2009. He will be taking the position of village administrator in Bloomingdale after his last day on Oct. 15.

In a statement, Riverside Village President Ben Sells called Scalera a well respected leader who has been a positive influence on the village.

"I have enjoyed working with a superb Board of Trustees and Executive staff that has worked well together during the five years I have been in Riverside," Scalera said.

Scalera handed in his letter of resignation to Sells on Friday.
