Thumbs up to the new Westmont Post Office Post Master Shenita Robinson-Hodge, who was officially inducted into her new position Aug. 6. Robinson-Hodge has worked for the post office for more than 15 years, doing everything from being a city letter carrier, to a manager to to participating on all kinds of teams within the post office. She will now oversee the Westmont location at 5707 S. Cass Ave. and vows to improve customer service and reduce the number of complaints. Thank you for your years of service and congratulations on the new position.

Thumbs up to the Westmont Park District for expanding its summer employment program. After receiving a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the park district was able to hire an extra nine employees ages 19 or younger to help with summer youth camps and maintenance work. Not only has the Westmont Park District furthered its reputation as one of the leading youth employers in the community, but they continue to demonstrate a prowess for grant writing.
