WESTMONT – The Westmont Lions Club will host free vision and hearing screenings during Thursday’s Cruisin’ Nights Street Fest, which runs in the downtown area on Cass Avenue.

From 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Illinois Lions Club buses will be located near the intersection or East Irving Street and Cass Avenue.

Screenings will be administered on a first come, first serve basis. Audiologists will administer hearing tests and give results on site. An eyecare professional will conduct vision screenings, which will be reviewed by an optometrist, who will notify participants of the results.

“We are lucky to once again have the Illinois Lions Club screening buses come to our community,” Westmont Lions Club Treasurer Chris Svitak said. “They provide a tremendous service to our residents at no cost.”

Thursday marks the second to last Cruisin’ Nights Street Fest of the summer season. The theme of evening is motorcycles and live music will be performed by GMRC featuring Annivar Salgado.

The Center for Dance also will have a special performance beginning at 7 p.m. and Chicago Thunder Football will lead a sports activity.

The Cruisin’ Nights Street Fest is run by the Westmont Special Events Corp.
