• A resident of the 35W000 block of Chillem Drive, Batavia, reported Tuesday, Aug. 12, abnormal activity on his or her credit card. Charges were reportedly made in different communities, such as Crestwood and Bolingbrook, and four transactions totaling $338.99 were completed before the bank took action.

• A member of the St. Charles Sportsman’s Club, 44W471 Keslinger Road, Elburn, reported Saturday, Aug. 9, that his shotgun valued at $2,650 was missing from the lodge’s gun rack, and a $3,500 shotgun was in its place. He believed his was taken by mistake.

• A hit-and-run accident was reported Friday, Aug. 15, at Illinois Street and Courier Avenue in St. Charles Township. Stop signs were reportedly damaged, and tire marks were visible in the ditch. A witness described the vehicle as gray and having four doors.
