BLOOMINGDALE – Residents may want to consider attending a CPR training class Aug. 23 at Bloomingdale Public Library; it could save a life.

The hands-on training class is open to the public, and it will cover adult, child and infant CPR, choking and the use of an automated external defibrillator for heart attacks.

Jeff Skelley, local firefighter and paramedic, will teach the class at 9 a.m. at the library, 101 Fairfield Way. The session lasts three hours and costs $40, which covers the purchase of a required study guide.

Participants who complete the course will receive a CPR certification card in the mail.

Anyone interested in participating can register for this course in the library’s Business Office.
