DOWNERS GROVE – ComEd will present Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital with a financial incentive check of $197,463 to help offset the cost of energy efficient improvements within its Downers Grove medical facility, according to a press release.

As part of this energy efficiency project, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital will replace three chillers. These devices help remove heat from liquid, including HVAC systems, to help them run more efficiently. The new chillers will result in a decrease of more than 1,974,630 kWh per year, or roughly an annual savings of $148,097, according to the release.

The incentive check is presented through Smart Ideas for Your Business program, an energy efficiency program providing information, technical and financial resources to help business customers manage their energy budgets.
