HARVARD – A Crystal Lake woman and a Capron man were arrested in connection with the armed burglary of a Mobil gas station outside Harvard, police said.

Savana K. Victory, 20, of Crystal Lake, and Jacobb Knobbe, 20, of Capron, were charged Thursday, Aug. 14, with armed robbery, a class X felony; burglary, a class 2 felony; and theft, a class A misdemeanor, in connection with the Wednesday morning burglary.

The robbery took place about 3:10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mobil Gas Station located at 24102 Route 173 in unincorporated Harvard when a masked man entered the gas station and told an employee that he wanted money, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. After receiving money from the clerk, the man left the gas station on foot.

Assistance was provided by Crimestoppers and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the release said.

Both Victory and Knobbe remain in the McHenry County Jail in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
