5 pizzerias to visit in La Grange for a family dinner

LA GRANGE – Although ordering pizza on Friday night has become a staple in many families’ dinner habits, delivery and carry-out are not the only options.

In downtown La Grange alone, there are numerous pizza joints where families can enjoy a night out and dinner together. Here are five restaurants to keep in mind when ordering this week’s pie:

1. Armand’s Pizzeria

Armand’s Pizzeria on La Grange Road offers thin crust or pan pizza paired with a plethora of optional toppings. The restaurant’s menu also includes a variety of soups, salads, pasta dishes and more.

Armand’s is open from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and then from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

2. Di Nico’s Pizza and Gelato Cafe

Known around town for its $5 pizza by the slice, Di Nico’s Pizza has many other items to offer its customers.

Persons can order at the counter of the restaurant, at 42 S. La Grange Road, which also serves sandwiches, paninis, homemade gelato and Italian ice, appetizers, thin crust pizza, stuffed pizza, pan pizza and more.

3. Dino’s Pizza and Fast Food

Customers at Dino’s Pizza and Fast Food, 1014 S. La Grange Road, have the option to eat at the restaurant or to have their pizzas delivered.

The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

4. Fireside Wood fired Pizza and Cafe

On Harris Avenue right before La Grange Road, sits Fireside Wood fired Pizza Cafe. The restaurant serves Artisan wood-fired pizza, toasted sandwiches, salads, fresh soup and more.

Located at 18 W. Harris Ave., the shop is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

5. Lucca’s Pizzeria and Ristorante

Located at 108 W. Burlington Ave., Lucca’s Pizzeria and Ristorante offers customers dine-in, carry out and delivery options.

Although it sports “pizzeria” in its name, the restaurant also serves pastas, salads, ribs, sandwiches and more. A full menu selection is available on line at www.luccaspizzeria.com.

Lucca’s, which recently began opening for lunch, is now open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
