Fiesta Nuestras Raices, Back to School party set

BERWYN – North Berwyn students will get a warm welcome back to school this weekend.

The North Berwyn Park District and Berwyn North School District 98 will come together to celebrate the sixth annual Fiesta Nuestras Raíces and the school district’s Back to School celebration from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday at Pyrce Park at 16th Street and Wesley Avenue.

Students will meet teachers, parents can speak to administrators and school staff will be on hand to help with the transition to the new school year.

Class assignments will be announced from noon to 4 p.m.

Students must be accompanied by an adult to attend.

This years’ entertainment includes cultural dance, Mariachi Perla de Mexico, Africaribe, Angel Melendez and the 911 Orchestra and other entertainment.

The event also will include a Kids Zone with games, pony rides, a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, a giant slide and other fun attractions for the entire family. For information, call 708-749-4900.
