Equipment failure causes midday outages in Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE – Equipment failure caused the power outages that affected 654 customers Tuesday in Downers Grove, a ComEd spokesperson said.

Customers lost power at 11:05 a.m. due to an underground cable failing, according to ComEd.

By 12:03 p.m., 442 customer's power had been restored. The remaining customer's power was restored by 12:21 p.m., according to ComEd.
