The staff at Westmont Public Library are always looking for new ways to interact with Westmont residents, whether in person or online.
We understand that many people take advantage of the library’s digital content and website without often visiting the actual building. Our goal is to provide our online users with the same quality service we provide to people who walk through our doors. Here are a few ideas for utilizing the library if you can’t visit us in person.
Start at our website www.westmontlibrary.org. From the homepage, you can click on the "Digital Branch" and get instant access to free digital content like ebooks, emagazines and streaming video. Librarians are available to chat with anyone who needs help getting started with loading digital content to their devices. Just call 630-969-5625 anytime during library hours to speak with a reference librarian.
Also on the library homepage, you will find a box that says "In the Spotlight." If you click on it, you will be taken to the staff blog with over a year’s worth of recommendations for what to read, watch and listen to. Our staff love sharing their thoughts about new releases and old favorites. All of the items we feature are available in the library, so be sure to check the SWAN online catalog to place holds on the material that catches your interest.
Learn more about the library workers who serve you every day by visiting the "Library Staff" page located under the About WPL tab at the top of our homepage. Put a name with a face and learn who danced for Lupe Fiasco, who loves frozen coke, and who on staff is a vegan!
Don’t forget to like the library’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/westmontlibrary for the most recent news about events, services, and to see photos of all the fun things we are up to in and around the community.
