BOLINGBROOK – Authorities are still looking for a bank robber who shot a teller in the arm during a bank robbery at the First Midwest Bank in Bolingbrook on Aug. 11.
Authorities are searching for a black man in his early 20s about 6-foot, 190 pounds. He was wearing jeans, a black hoody, a red hat with a Chicago Bulls logo and a black bandana with white markings, and was last seen leaving on foot in an unknown direction from the bank, 450 N. Bolingbrook Drive, around noon Aug. 11.
A $25,000 reward for information leading to the man's arrest has been offered on the website BanditTrackerChicago.com.
The bank teller avoided serious injury, according to Joan Hyde, a spokeswoman for the FBI's Chicago office. The FBI is handling the investigation.
Hyde said the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, adding that a handgun was used in the robbery.
The FBI has offered an undisclosed reward for anyone with information regarding the crime. They're asked to call the FBI's Chicago office at 312-421-6700.
