GardenWorks Project obtains nonprofit status

GLEN ELLYN – The GardenWorks Project has officially become a tax-exempt nonprofit after obtaining 501(c)(3) status, according to a news release from the organization.

The group, led by volunteers, helps relieve hunger by providing assistance with home vegetable gardens.

It also announced the installation of 22 new gardens in DuPage County this spring.
