Lake Park High School band to fundraise with Tag Day

Published: Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 5:03 p.m. CDT

ROSELLE – Those living in District 108 can expect a surprise visit at their homes this Saturday from members of the Lake Park High School Marching Band.

These door-to-door stops held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. are part of the band’s annual Tag Day fundraiser, which aims to seek monetary donations to support the band’s activities.

The fundraiser helps to fund costs associated with transporting and feeding more than 150 band members and staff as they travel to compete in local, state and national marching band competitions.

Donators will receive a Lake Park band sticker, or "tag."

Those interested in donating who do not receive a visit from band members may call Tag Day chairpersons Carol and Bill Armbrecht at 630-467-1309.

District 108 serves all or part of Roselle, Itasca, Bloomingdale, Keeneyville, Medinah, Wood Dale and Hanover Park.
