DuPage County encourages emergency preparedness for children

Published: Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014 6:03 p.m. CST

DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin is encouraging parents to talk to their children about emergency preparedness, according to a news release from the board.

Parents should know their child's school's emergency plan, ensure their contact information is up-to-date at their school and talk to them about hazards such as extreme weather events, school violence, public health risks and hazardous material incidents.
