New year, new school for Glen Ellyn educator

GLEN ELLYN – Glen Ellyn resident Paula Bodzioch has been named director of education for the Marklund Day School.

Bodzioch will oversee all education services provided by the Marklund Day School and Life Skills Program at its Bloomingdale facility.

She formerly worked at Bolingbrook High School as the assistant principal of curriculum, instruction and assessment. Prior to that, she was a special education department chair supervising a staff of 100 with responsibility for 450 children. She has also worked as a student resource team leader and a special education teacher.

She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Benedictine University, and a master’s in teacher leadership from St. Xavier University. She also holds a certificate of advanced study from Lewis University.
