Police looking for suspects in attempted burglary

VILLA PARK – Villa Park police are looking for two individuals who attempted to break into a home Wednesday afternoon, according to a department news release.

At about noon Wednesday, a man and a woman attempted to break into a home in the 400 block of South Riverside Drive, police said. After ringing the doorbell and receiving no answer, the man approached a rear window with a pry bar, police said.

Both suspects fled in a grayish-blue 2006 to 2011 Toyota Rav4 after being confronted by the homeowner, police said. The vehicle was captured on surveillance from a nearby residence.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or the suspects is urged to call the 911 or the department at 630-834-7447.
