HINSDALE – The Hinsdale Police Department was re-accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies on July 26 in Shaumburg.
In April 2014, an assessment team from the commission spent four days at the Hinsdale Police Department reviewing the agency’s compliance with commission standards, according to a release from the Hinsdale Police Department.
The assessors inspected the police department by interviewing employees and members of the community, and then held a public information session to determine if the department met the requirements of a highly regarded body of law enforcement, according to the release.
The assessors found that the department was in compliance with commission standards, and the Hinsdale police were accredited for the sixth time since 1996, the release stated.
