CAROL STREAM – Grills were put to the test at American Sale's second annual Bull Burger Battle on Saturday at the company's Carol Stream store, 320 Army Trail Road.

The battle is a live cooking competition and official qualifying event for the World Food Championships in Las Vegas.

The event also featured family-friendly entertainment, including face painting, a bounce house, music from a DJ and a visit from Chicago Bears mascot Staley Da Bear.

Southwest Grillers Colin and Ron Thompson won the battle and will continue to the championships in November.

Judges included Carol Stream Mayor Frank Saverino and Community Development Director Bob Glees.
