HAINESVILLE – Sen. Melinda Bush, D-Grayslake, will hold the first of four Senator in Your Corner meetings Tuesday, Aug. 5, in Hainesville.

The meeting will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hainesville Village Hall, 100 Hainesville Road. She will join by Hainesville Mayor Linda Soto.

“After a year and a half as your senator, I believe more than ever that Illinois’ situation would improve if all elected officials made direct conversation with area residents a high priority,” Bush said in a news release.  “Mayor Soto and I want to do the best job we can for our communities.”

Bush said she would spend the majority of the time answering questions and requesting feedback from attendees, but she will also talk about this year’s legislative activity and her long-term economic development strategy.

Residents are encouraged to ask questions and bring any issues to the town hall, where she and her team will be ready to assist them.

“Illinois needs creative long-term solutions to our budget problems, including a comprehensive plan that reduces income and property taxes while finding ways to fill revenue holes. I hope the residents of Hainesville will join Mayor Soto and me to discuss jobs, employment and Lake County’s economic future," Bush said.
