CARY — Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries Monday after a head-on crash in Cary, police said.

The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of Route 14 and West Main Street in Cary, according to Sgt. Scott Naydenoff.

It appears the crash occurred after one of the drivers disobeyed a red light, Naydenoff added.

Each vehicle had one occupant and both were transported to Advocate Good Shepherd with injuries considered non-life threatening.

The intersection was shut down to one lane on each road for about twenty minutes, Naydenoff said.
