Nearly 50,000 turn out for Taste of Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK – Organizers say nearly 50,000 people turned out for the 2014 Taste of Bolingbrook – a 67 percent increase in traffic from last year.

The event, held Thursday at The Promenade Bolingbrook, featured more than 20 food vendors spread out throughout the entire mall grounds as well as free entertainment and concerts.

Sponsors for the event included Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, DuPage County Area Project, Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook, the Bolingbrook Golf Club, RE/MAX and G & W Electric.

The 2014 Taste of Bolingbrook event committee that organized the event was made up of Kris Kuchler, Kristine Ryan, Robyn McBroom, Tom Castagnoli, Jim Galbraith, Jimmy Barber, Cheryl Jordan, Joe Johnson, Michael Carpanzano and Jennifer Navarro.
