Brookfield police bring stray chicken to Animal Welfare League

Brookfield police were able to capture this stray chicken found wandering in the 800 block of Southview Avenue Wednesday and turn it over to the Animal Welfare League.

BROOKFIELD — The Brookfield Police Department received a complaint about a stray chicken at around 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 8000 block of Southview Avenue, according to a news release from the Brookfield Police Department. 

The chicken had been wandering around the property for several days, according to the release. 

The chicken was caught and placed in a kennel before police brought it to the Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge Thursday.
