In the span of 24 hours, the village of La Grange experienced an increase in vehicle thefts with eight separate thefts from vehicles reported.

The eight vehicles were all located between Madison and Seventh avenues in the 600 and 700 blocks and were entered between July 17 and 18. The removed items included iPads, cell phones and GPS devices.

In all eight car thefts, the vehicles were left unlocked with the items left in plain sight.

Residents who see any suspicious activity are asked to dial 9-1-1 immediately. Indicators might be any excessive dog barking, strange noises, or someone parking a car and walking to another location.
