BOLINGBROOK – An educator with nearly 20 years of experience, including 14 years as a classroom teacher, is the new Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Bolingbrook High School.

Michele Albano, former English Department Chair at Lemont High School, will succeed Paula Bodzioch who left the district to take another position.

Albano, who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Loyola University-Chicago and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Aurora University, taught English and U.S. history in the Chicago Public Schools, was an English teacher at Mother Guerin High School, and an English teacher and guidance counselor at Hampshire and Dundee-Crown high schools.

She served as Divisional Chair at Elgin High School for two years, before becoming Language Arts Division Chair at Lyons Township High School in La Grange, a position she held for three years. Albano took her position as English Department Chair at Lemont High School in 2012.

She will start immediately.
