WHEATON – The DuPage County Historical Museum will host author and performer Leslie Goddard as she portrays Chicago socialite and art collector Bertha Honoré Palmer on Aug. 14, according to a news release from the Wheaton Park District.

Goddard will perform at a special program and luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. at the museum, located at 102 E. Wesley St. in Wheaton. Palmer, wife of real estate magnate Potter Palmer, "was like American royalty when she was alive," said Museum Educator Sara Buttita.
