Garage fire causes $150K in damage to neighboring homes, vehicles

LOMBARD – A garage fire extended to two adjacent homes and caused more than $150,000 this morning along Grace Street, according to a village of Lombard news release.

The call came in about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday regarding a garage fire in the 600 block of North Grace Street. The fire had spread to the detached single-family home on the same property when fire crews arrived, according to the release.

Damage was reported to the home, a neighbor's home to the north, two vehicles, two motorcycles and a boat, according to the release.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to the release.

The Lombard Fire Department was assisted by Oak Brook and Villa Park fire departments, and the Addison and York Center fire protection districts.
