BOLINGBROOK – The man whose body was found Tuesday in a Bolingbrook retention pond has been identified.

Lt. Mike Rompa said Basilio Fuentes-Garcia, 43, of Bolingbrook, appears to have drowned accidentally. Rompa said alcohol was a contributing factor.

Will County Chief Deputy Coroner Bob Brenczewski said Fuentes-Garcia was identified Wednesday through fingerprint comparison. An autopsy has been performed.

Toxicology reports are pending, but Fuentes-Garcia's death does not appear to be the result of foul play.

At 10:52 a.m. Tuesday a landscaping crew found Fuentes-Garcia floating face down in the pond in the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive.
