LOMBARD – A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. will conduct an assessment of the Lombard Police Department's policy and procedures, management and operations and support services on July 27.
Along with the on-site assessment, the public and agency employees are invited to offer comments on the agency's services and performance at a public information session at 5:30 p.m. July 28 at Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave.
Public comments can also be provided via telephone by calling 630-873-4464 between 1 and 3 p.m. Comments – both in person and by telephone – are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with the commission's standards.
The department has to comply with 464 standards in order to gain accredited status.
