Joliet Grade School District 86 hires new administrators

JOLIET – Three new administrators have been hired at Joliet Grade School District 86 for the 2014-15 school year, according to a news release from the district.

New principals will be Pamela Surprenant at Hufford Junior High School and Rolland Jasper at Dirksen Junior High School.

Joel Sischo has been hired as the new program coordinator for health and physical education.

Surprenant has 25 years of educational experience, including 16 years as administrator. She has been a principal at Reed-Custer Middle School in Braidwood and Lincoln Junior High School in Naperville.

She has a bachelor’s degree in special education from Bradley University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Governors State University, according to a news release.

Jasper has been a principal at Oglesby, Robert Fulton and Scott Joplin elementary schools in Chicago. He has 20 years of educational experience, including 13 years as an administrator.

He has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Eastern Illinois University. Jasper has master’s degrees in curriculum and instruction and in administration and supervision, both from Loyola University in Chicago, according to the news release.

Sischo has been a physical education and health teacher at Yorkville Middle School in Yorkville since August 2008. Before that, he was a teacher in Las Vegas.

He has a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University in Chicago, according to the news release.
