McDonald’s building, remodeling plan hits Berwyn

The brand new McDonald's at 7051 Ogden Avenue sports the new look of the stores. There are three McDonald's in Berwyn, two of which now have the new design.

BERWYN – Two of Berwyn's three McDonald's are sporting a new look – inside and out — as part of the company's push to build and rebuild.

City officials gathered at 5 a.m. June 20 for the grand opening of a new store at the 7051 Ogden Ave. The store is located on the site of the former Phalen Dodge dealership.

On June 30, officials gathered for the grand reopening of the fully-remodeled store at 6401 Cermak Road.

Customers will be able to take advantage of free Wi-Fi, cashless payment options, plasma televisions and phone charging stations at the new store on Ogden Avenue and the remodeled store on Cermak Road.

Last November, McDonald's Corp announced plans to spend up to $3 billion this year to open up to 1,600 new restaurants and remodel about 1,000 others.
