Healthy Villa Park event set for Centennial Celebration

VILLA PARK – A Healthy Villa Park initiative will be held Aug. 8 at the Villa Park Historical Society and Visitors Center, 220 S. Villa Ave., as part of the village's Centennial Celebration.

Residents can have their eyes and hearing tested from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. courtesy of the Villa Park Lions Club and the Lions of Illinois Foundation. The Villa Park Fire Department will be on hand to check blood pressure from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Also, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., a special U.S. Postage stamp cancellation will be available at the center. The Villa Park Lions Club will also be selling lemonade throughout the day.
