Bodastone owner Brian Atinaja looks at a 3-D image that will later be made into a ceramic sculpture during the grand opening of his shop in Downers Grove on June 25.

Thumbs up to the owners of Bodastone Photo Sculptures for a successful opening June 25 in Downers Grove. The local business hopes to revolutionize the 3-D printing market by offering customers replica, life-like sculptures that range from three to five inches tall. The ceramic sculptures make perfect wedding cake toppers, children's action figures, and may someday change the way people think about photographs and image rendering.

Congratulations to Advocate Health Care and Good Samaritan Hospital staff for formally announcing a $78 million addition to its Downers Grove building. The three-floor addition features 96 private rooms that will be built above the existing critical care pavilion on the north end of the hospital campus on Highland Avenue. Upon completion in late 2016 or early 2017, all of Good Samaritan Hospital’s existing semi-private rooms will be converted into private rooms, resulting in an all private-room campus.
