Germanfest returns to Sacred Heart in Lombard

LOMBARD – The 47th Annual Germanfest will be held from July 17 to 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 S. Elizabeth St.

The long-running festival will feature carnival rides, live entertainment, German food, a beer and wine tent, adult and kid Bingo, casino games and raffle prizes. There will be a grand-prize drawing of $5,000 at 6:30 p.m. July 20.

Food items include bratwurst, hot dogs, hot pretzels, potato salad, chicken, sliders, pork tenderloin and strudel.

The festival will be open from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. July 17, 5:30 p.m. to midnight July 18, 1 p.m. to midnight July 19 and noon until 7 p.m. July 20. Admission is free and open to the public.
