Hinsdale Fire Department unveils new engine

HINSDALE – The Hinsdale Fire Department added a new fire engine to its fleet Tuesday. 

The 2014 Pierce Saber was purchased for about $448,000 and includes a 1500 gallons per minute pump, 750 gallon booster tank and is equipped with front bumper extrication road rescue tools. 

The department sold two of its older fire engines, and now has a fleet including two fire engines, two ALS ambulances and a fire truck.
