LISLE – The village of Lisle has created a Special Events Grant Program to fund organizations or groups creating new community events, according to a village news release.
Funds may also be used to enhance existing events or to pay for events organized by the newly-formed Special Events Grant Committee.
The goal of the program is to facilitate desirable public events, attract visitors, increase economic vitality and reflect positively on the Lisle community.
Funding is derived from the Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau Rent Fund. Grants are limited to $5,000 per event.
The committee is composed of village board members, staff and community volunteers, and will evaluate grant requests and make recommendations to the board. It is chaired by Lisle Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Diane Homolka.
