Western Springs chef heads to the Taste of Chicago Friday

Chef Paul Virant, owner of Vie in Western Springs, will hold a cook demonstration at the Taste of Chicago on Friday.

WESTERN SPRINGS – As a part of the Pure Leaf Celebrity Chef du Jour, Chef Paul Virant will be featured at this year's Taste of Chicago.

The food festival will showcase Chef Virant, executive chef of Western Springs' highly acclaimed restaurant, Vie, at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Chef Virant, also of Perennial Virant in Chicago, will cook with seasonal, locally-grown ingredients for his Midwestern cuisine.

Chef Virant's Friday night meal will allow guests to have a sit down, three-to-four-course meal for $45 per person. Tickets can be purchased at www.tasteofchicago.us.
